New Lempert Steering Wheel?

I have a 67 3000 BJ8. I want to buy a Lempert Steering Wheel, after all the good things I have heard. I will use my horn and turn signals. What wheel & hub would you choose. Thanks for any help. Curt :winner1:

Mike Lempert's wheels are great, as far as I know. He's also apparently a very nice gentlman. I placed my order with him over a year ago, and am looking forward to seeing my beautiful new wheel.

I'm not sure if Mike made mine. I got it through Healey Surgeons and they custom order it from someone who makes them up. I went with rosewood.

Mike does beautiful work and I'm convinced he can do any kind of wheel your imagination can dream up, including spoke styles and choice of woods. Check out his website: https://www.pbase.com/mdlempert/inventory He did my Derrington style wheel and his work is impeccable I would recommend him without hesitation.

Mike did the wheel on my Bugeye. Derrington type in rosewood with a small hub. Fits the stock Bugeye horn center. It took a while, but was well worth the wait. I'm a big fan of the evenly spaced 3 spokes and slots, and I would think they'd look great on a big Healey as well.

Mike can supply the hub you need also. I bought mine from him and the wheel. He even made mine extra thick because I have big hands.

Hi Curt /- Mike made our wheel last year for our 100-/6. We chose the model he calls the Pelican, and it looks great on the car. He also sells the hub for his wheels, so you should talk to him about that. He is great to deal with, and will work with you to get just what you want. Good Luck with your selection!
