Hello

I plan to change my 1963 BJ7 (S/N 63HBJ7L19329) hood and I have 2 questions:

1: Could you confirm that the hood is the same between BJ7/BJ8?
2: If someone had ordered a hood from AH spares in mohair, could you confirm the quality and the constraint to adjust on the frame?

A BJ8 hood will fit on a BJ7 frame but there are differences depending on how original you want to be. The early BJ7s, like yours, had the rear window secured by two clasps. The BJ8 had a zippered rear window. Also the BJ8s had a flap of cloth around the side windows that serve as rain gutters that the BJ7 didn't have. Here's a BJ8 hood on my BJ7

Hello

Thanks for your response.
If I understand the BJ8 hood is better than the original because the flap are presents?
