Always have been a gearhead, mostly 289 Fords and the like, but have always liked British sportscars, especially Triumph Spitfires. So recently acquired one, 1978 Spitfire 1500. It is in good driving shape but neither showroom nor mint, and that's great. It appears to be well cared for mechanically.

I have always enjoyed riding motorcycles, but my dear wife doesn't. So, I thought: a Spitfire she would ride in and would make a great substitute for a motorcycle. We shall see, the first half is certainly true. (If anyone is interested in a 1997 BMW R1100RT with lots of miles but in great shape and with a good price let me know.)
I am looking forward to this. I enjoy wrenching and driving, hopefully the percentages will weight more towards driving.

Welcome from a bit south of you here in Monteagle! There's a great club in Crossville, the Plateau British Car Club. Just hosted their annual Return of the British in Rugby. Check 'em out!
