Greetings!

I just found this forum, and it looks to be a good one for Big Healey news.

I have a 1957 Austin Healey 100-6, Longbridge build, in Primrose Yellow with Black Hard top. I'm the second owner. It was purchased in Utah, then moved to florida, then to the Atlanta area. For reasons unknown, the owner parked it in the front of a 3 sided carport and it sat for 40 years.

Here's the saga (My friend john got the 356), and how I found the Healey.

Welcome Steve.

I'm just down the road from ya! I see that you're getting aquainted with Lamar over at our parts place!

Hi, mines a 57, but it's titled as a 58. How's your interior? - that's what I'm working on right now on mine. It's been a long process, I've had the car over 20 years, but just started restoring her about five years ago.

Yep. Lamar likes me, because I spend money. LOL!!!

I'm a big supporter of my local businesses. like I said above, the fuel tank is out at the local radiator service.

LBH, my interior is pretty crunchy, the driver's seat is bad, the carpets are mediocre, the rear seat is awesome. The back of the seat has the manufacturers mark on it, and as far as I'm concerned needs no resto. I fear taking the seat pans apart, though. The leather is in great shape, but the pans are a little rusty on the bottom side. I'm planning on making templates for my doors, as it looks like they deteriorated years ago (I have the bits and pieces of the original plywood, and all the original leather. I used some stuff from "color plus" called soffener that worked GREAT on the leather!

that's about it.

Delta: are you associated with the atlanta healeys people?
