New guy on the block

Greetings to all. I just read some comments about newbies posting an introduction, and realized that I hadn' done that as of yet.
So, I've been involved with LBC's since my first TR-3 in 1966. Currently I have roughly 25 Bugeyes and Spridgets, 3 Spits, and a GT6. I've been racing a 1500 Spit for the last few years, in F Production, and right now am getting a Spridget ready to run in "H". I also have an "H" Prod Bugeye that is a longer term project, as I had the audacity to roll it during a race. Not good!
As I said to Basil when I reponded to his welcome,
"British cars are a disease that, thankfully there is no known cure"
I'm located in southern Michigan.

Jeff sweetie, of all the people to be making Lucas jokes... knock it orf will ya! Glad to see you're finally registered, I thought I mentioned this board to you ages ago, but then again, maybe not.

There's a lot of very nice folks here, some from The Old Country too, you should feel right at home! I'm giving you your first "star" just for being here!!

RG, (we still can"t say the "B" word, right?)You may have mentioned this site to me, and it slipped my mind, or what little there is left of it. Mad thrash today to get the new racer in the garage, but it's been uphill all the way.
I'm looking forward to participating with this group. It looks like a lot of fun.
Jeff

Yes Hi Hi Hi.. What ever possesed you to keep so many Sprigets? If you have a spare Bug Eye Sprite to throw my way it would not be unloved..

You know how some people take in stray cats, it's a bit like that with Jeff and cars, people actively seek him out and give him free cars that would, probably, otherwise end up in the crusher. This is an email I received from him earlier this year, line for line, about the acquisition of his latest Midget, it was titled "Saving The Homeless". Although since he sent me this another one has joined his family...

"Brenda;

You would have been proud of me today. I rescued a poor, homeless orphan from an uncertain fate.

She was born in August,1974, in Abingdon, and perhaps due to the smoke in the atmosphere there, has remained a midget to this day.

She looks a bit tatty, mainly due to the fact that she has been sitting in one spot for nearly ten years, but I'm sure with new clothes, and a proper diet she will regain her original vitality. She has the yellow color generally associated with jaundice, but I believe in time, this too, may be cured.

I'm sure she will be happy in her new home, and once she fully regains her health will look forward to meeting new friends.

Adopting the poor unfortunates certainly is gratifying, and I shall remain vigilant in my quest to find, and restore to their proper station, as many as I can.

                        Jeff"

I only wish I had room for a couple more cars!!
