Hi All, I'm the Turner Tuner but will always be Steve to my mother.

I have owned my 1964 Turner since 1969 which either makes me pretty stubborn or a really lucky owner. If you want to know more about Turners, take a visit to: https://www.turnersportscars.co.uk/

There are about 90 in North America but most are vintage racers. My car is a daily driver although back in the 70's through 90's collected a whole lot of trophies in autocrosses and time trials.

Before the Turner I competed in a Triumph TR-3 and was lucky to escape that stage of life with only a couple of years in hospitals.

I support the car hobby as president of a marketing communications and public relations agency. In addition, I own and am webmaster for www.meetmeattheraces.com, a completely respectable dating website for single fanatics about NASCAR and other motor sports. There's a little write up of Meet Me in Autoweek right now. Don't dismiss these fans, nearly every one is also an enthusiast of ALM, Indycar, Sports Car racing, car shows and yes, dirt track racing.

When I get my bearings on the site and if anyone is interested, I'll post some more images.

happy motoring... steve (alias Turner Tuner)

Welcome aboard Steve. I don't think I've ever seen a Turner up close. Neat little cars!

WOW!! Welcome...the only Turner I've ever seen was in a museum...I'd love to see photos of yours.

Hi Steve:

We've met at the ~2006 Pittsburgh Vintage~ (plus other places, I'm sure).

We usually see one or two Turners at our VRG events, but the turnout for the '06 PVGP was outstanding.

Keith Lawrence from our VRG club sold his 948 Turner last year and replaced it with a Formula Vee...too bad.
Sometimes the fellow from New England Classics (what's his name?) comes to our events with a Turner.

Welcome to BCF!

Good Morn`n Steve,

"FINALLY, WELCOME" to the best "LBC" site your going to come across on this planet or any other planet!!

I personally am glad that you made it here & as you can already see; So are the other folks here!

Placing pics here is really quite simple. I`ll email you in just a few minutes.

Don`t forget to introduce Yourself and Your Turner to the "Other British Car" section & also post a pic for the 2009 Calender.

Have Fun Steve,

Regards,

Russ

Hi, Steve, and welcome to the Forum! That Turner looks great!!!

Hello Folks,

This is just incredible!!

Steve Agins is in the Englewood Hospital in NJ on his "Death Bed"!

I just rec`d. an email from a "Russ Filby" of England who is a "Turner" Website founder and long time friend of Steve Agins.

I was asking Steve last wk. to post his Turner on the BCF for the 2009 Calender. I was wondering why he did`nt do it?

I emailed Steve a couple of times and no reply!

Now This! Apparently he lost his breathing capabilities over the weekend. By the time the EMTs got there; The lack of Oxygen had taken its toll.

I`m told the Family is at Steves Bedside right this moment trying to make the inevitable decision as to "When to pull the plug on the life support"!!

This is just shocking news to me!!

My Thoughts and Prayers are with You Steve and Your Family,

Russ

PS: Here`s a pic of Steve Agins doing what he enjoyed most!

PPS: Whats 100KB equal to in "Pixels" so I can post Steve` pic?

Wow, that is just terrible! He only just registered here! As for the picture, there is no direct translation between pixles and file size. The file size is based on a combination of the size of the image and its quality. A very small (in pixles) image that is very high quality can have a larger file size that a much bigger image with less quality. If you will email the picture to me at bcfadmin@britishcarforum.com I will size it correctly and post it here.

"Much Thanx Basil":

Hi Folks,

I just learned that "Steve Agins" had passed away 12-12-08:

"HAPPY MOTORING" Steve,

Russ

That is very sad. He only just became a member and made a single post. How sad. It would have been great to have had him as a member for a much longer time! Prayers to his family!
