A little over a year ago I bought a 72 Spitfire from a guy in Houston. Over the last year i have stripped it down to the frame blasted, repaired, and painted the frame, done a whole bunch of body work and welding and i'm finally putting her back together again. I'm kinda new to this whole car thing but i'm doin everything myself cause i'm lookin to learn as much as i can. Unfortunately, when i bought the car i knew next to nothing about spitfires so now as i'm putting it back together i'm realizing that very little of whats under the hood is actually stock making the process very confusing haha. Not to mention the guy i bought it from knows less than i do. I found this site lookin for some help and i have found some awesome stuff! I'm only 18 and tryin to figure it out so if i ask some pretty stupid questions take it easy on me haha. As of two days ago i've got her up and running again and hopefully in a couple of weeks i'll have her out on the road.

Welcome, Nick! Always good to see the younger crowd discover the world of British cars. Your Spitfire is a great car to start with and learn on. Lots of help here, so jump over to the TR side and post your questions and comments.

And we love pictures!

Welcome, welcome,
You younger guys have a lot going for you that I certainly don't have, namely your association with the computor and digital photography. This is definately the place to ask any questions. There is a wealth of experience and wisdom here. Good Luck and again Welcome.

Howdy Nick,

"Welcome" to the "BCF" and the "Wonderful World of LBCs" (Little British Cars).

Its always nice to hear from someone in your age bracket taking an interest in the cars we all love (Occassionlly dislike). Its a great learning experience in the way you are approaching your Spit. There are "NO" stupid questions here! So; Fire away with questions, comments etc on the Triumph Forum & most importantly; "Have Fun".

Best Wishes,

Russ
