First I made a braket for the fuel cell out of 1x2 tube steel, then found out I had to drop the stock fuel tank(it was time for a fuel system change, the gas was black and rust /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif ), dropped the tank, drilled the necessary holes, mounted the fuel cell, then started setting up the plumbing. Its made with -6AN line with the appropriate fittings. The system goes, out of the fuel cell, fuel filters, fuel pumps, two lines come together, then to the fuel pressure regulator near the oil filter up front, then onto the carbs.

For the battery, I took aluminum stock cut it so it fits the contours of the battery, took two pieces of the 1/2" and layered them and drilled the holes and bolted it in.

I did all this work and a lot more over the past 3 days for a race at LimeRock, my dad got around Turn 1 and the front brakes totally locked up, end of the race for us.
So I went home and put a flowmaster on my truck, Sounds awesome. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Your installation looks nice and clean. However, I'm curious as to why you have the tank up so high? Seems like most of the racers run the recessed tanks to keep the COG lower. I recal seing some pics of Nial's in another thread where he even put the battery down at axle level! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Here's the pic I'm thinking of:

I didn't really want to make new brackets, cut a hole in the floor, and change my pump design. I had three days to do the fuel system before limerock, and I did what I could the quickest way I could. The fuel cell is also a drag car tank(fuel output is on the bottom on a slant piece coming out of the bottom of the tank). The car is lowered about 1 1/2" in the back, so the it would be very low, and could bottom out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
