Hello Everyone,

My name is Joe Wesorick and I have recently joined the forum. About a year ago at age 24 I purchased my 1976 Triumph TR6 because I wanted a fun car to drive and I wanted to learn how to learn how to do my own car repairs. In the past year a I have learned a ton, made a lot of progress on the car (and a few mistakes) and overall am having a lot of fun. I live in Charlotte, NC and havent seen too many LBC's at the local Cars and Coffee meet up so if you see a goofy looking kid in a blue TR6 that could be me.

Joe - welcome to BCF. That is a *great* looking TR. Looks new! What work have you done?

We're here to help - and to enjoy driving. :driving:

Looks new! What work have you done?

It was painted about a year or so before I got the car but Im finding out that it was done poorly. It looks nice from 20ft (and somehow even better in the pictures) but has a few spots were the paint is cracking and beginning to flake off completely.

As far as work done, on the interior I've replaced the dash and about half of the crash pads. Mechanically I havent done much to the engine. This was my first experience with carbs, a distributer and points so Ive had to teach myself using the internet how to replace and tune that stuff. I also had a big project where I boxed in the diff mounts and repaired a crack. While I was in there I did all 6 U joints. My next project is my first electrical issue and I will need to figure out why my horn isnt working.

Welcome, and may I suggest for a reference Electrical Maintenance Handbook by Dan Masters. It has been a huge help for me. I have a '74 TR6.

Welcome!

Welcome! My first car was a Triumph too, though mine was a Spitfire. A TR6 is a great little base and should be a lot of fun!
