The new hoses arrived today from Summit and it was worth the wait (IMHO). Much better fit and I like the fact that the are just larger versions of the heater hoses with matching clamps.

Cooling system pressure test OK, fan and headlamps all work, oil was being added as I left and tomorrow the interior goes back together. It may be running by tomorrow night if all goes well. If not, it will be Thursday, so no big deal.

Although, with the warmer weather, I am getting very anxious to drive it again, but not until it's ready.

Paul,

Aren't you taking an awful chance not having the overflow tube covered in stainless braid?

Only kidding. It looks good. Bill might have to surrender the Bling King Crown!

BTW the joke was a rewrite of an old one where a city slicker dressed in a blaze orange hat, coat, gloves and trousers walks into a country store during deer season. He asks the locals where he might find some deer. It's an old store with a wooden floor and a pot bellied stove keeping several fellas warm while they chew the fat and drink co-colas. One of the fellas gives the dude the once over and says "Ain't you taking an awful chance wearin them black boots?"

Bob,

Being a deer hunter from PA, I can appreciate that joke. I can also tell you that those kind of things did happen with what we used to call "Dude Hunters". They were trying to get in the groove by having something that they shot mounted above a fireplace. Most of the time they got sick of freezing, getting up at 3:00AM, standing perfectly still for hours or sitting in a cold, windy tree stand with no bathroom for hours, only to go home empty handed.

Bill, if the alignment of Jupiter and Mars is right, I may be doing just that on Saturday afternoon.

Paul !

Wishin' you a beautiful, warm, sunny and dry day for
your first spin in the Bling-mobile!!

always,

d :driving:

Thank you Dale! The forecast for Saturday looks cool, but sunny. Today was the day, but it's not ready for prime time yet and at this point, it's foolish to rush anything.

Wow, so that's what a bazillion dollars looks like. I t really is a thing of beauty.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, really awesome Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!

BLING BLING. Looks great! You are going to have to hand out the sunglasses before poping the hood on that one!

Envious Rob.

Thanks to all. I'll feel a lot better driving it again.

My wife finally saw it up close today. It's been so long since it was at home in our garage that I think that she thought that I sold it and didn't tell her.

I did get a "that's nice!"

Her next line was "Can I have the keys for the Ford? I want to listen to the radio while you and Erik talk about this and that all over again."

Good stuff, Paul, those radiator hose clamps look much better than those bulbous old ones.... Continue on!

Once again I walk out of the garage and kick the Alfa...

Very nice, Paul.

Her last comment on the way home; "Don't get any ideas about another project car, now that this one is almost finished".

Yes, Dear.........
