I went by the body shop today to check on the mugeye and as I walked up this is what I saw.

I'm working on posting the other pics but I thought that Jack would like to see this as soon as I could get it up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Awesome! is the tape on the beading to protect it during buffing?

Looks very nice, I love the color. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Then again I am biased. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Thirty yrs ago I had a really early girl tr4, and I painted it an emron metallic sky blue. It was a great color then, still is!!!! Beautiful...

Ben, looking good! I'm a big fan of that blue. Your kid has good taste.

Ben, looks good, I like the color. I'm guessing that is the car you bought from Klaus, looks to have been a good car to start with. Make sure to send Klaus photos of the car when you finish it. Ben, where is it you live, Anderson, Clemson comes to mind, anyway if so, we need to get you in the Foothills British Car Club, they are great bunch.

Hap,

This is the car I got from Klaus. I've been meaning to send him some pictures but wanted to wait until I could take a "money" shot.

I'm in Anderson but havent had a good experience communicating with FBCC. The president answered my email at first when I was looking for a car to buy but since then my messages have gone unanswered. Maybe when I show up in an actual LBC they'll give me more time /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Did you happen to know Butch White?

Bet I have looked a dozen time Ben. Dosn't a Bugeye have the nicest rear. Shhhhh.

You know Jack I've painted several cars over the past ten years and have never been afraid of one until I got the Bugeye. If that rear deck is not perfect the whole paint job won't look right so I took it to a professional. I must say that they did a fantastic job with VERY little filler. Their metal guy is just awesome.

I just realized that I never posted the link to the other pics!!!! Oh my!

Have a look at the rest of the car: CLICK ME

Ben, I notice you have holes along the back edge of the cockpit. I assume these are only used for shorty tonneaus. Is there an advantage to using the short ones over the long ones?

Trevor,

My car already had the bits in place for either tonneau so I decided to leave the option as I dont know which would be better. I think that the short tonneau will look good as it wont cover up so much of that expensive paint!!!!!

The long ones, which is all I ever had, messes up the paint a bit.

I was thinking that it might not flap as much (and cause less damage to the paint.

I just need to see/have mine setting in my garage. It has been away since mid June now. I'm loansum.

This is a family friendly forum, so I won't post it here, but there was a SNL commercial about a "Mercury Mistress". I won't say anything other than the owner of the car is rather intimate with the car's rear.

Use google to find the clip if you are curious. I thought it was hilarious.
