Just picked her up this week. Wow, this is going to be fun! A few things to do to get her where I want but I am looking forward to the adventure. This forum is going to be a great place to hang out at.

Nice Car and nice color combination! Welcome to the world where you put your car on and wear it, instead of just getting in and driving.

Welcome, Mike - nice Bugeye, indeed!

What's up with the side exhaust? Anything special under the bonnet?

WELCOME Mike!

Nice looking BugEye!!

Where in TEXAS are you located?

There are quite a few avid BugEye owners in that part of the country.

You'll find most BE owners are more than happy to share experiences, advice, tools, spare parts, and an occasional pint or 2 with any fellow BE owner.

Happy Motoring!! :driving:

Very nice looking BE!! Welcome to the forum...you have found a bunch of great, like-minded people here who will love hearing about your BE experience! Do tell us more about the car. I am also curious about that side-exhaust!

Very nice indeed. Always fun to find another friend for Miss Agatha.

Thanks for the greetings guys. The B.E. is now garaged in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I purchased the car from a classic car collector that took it in partial trade. This guy had a warehouse in East Texas with about 40 cars. He didn't know much about the car, nor did I. My lack of experience and not having another Bug Eye to compare it to presented a decision to purchase a bit risky. I have had motorcycles in the past add wanted to get that open cockpit feeling. Not to mention that I have alway wanted a Bug Eye since I was a kid! The car drives well and the engine seems to perform up to expectations. The engine is a 1275 with a ribbed transmission. The exhaust system is straight piped out the side (loud) and I think I'll change that pretty soon. An oil pressure and temperature gauge was added to the dash. The ignition is a "turn to start" and a few switches were added but not currently hooked up.I would like to change the ignition/start system back to original. I have ordered a carpet set and need to install weather (rubber) stripping in the doors and bonnet. The car is waiting on a title from Title International in Nevada (10 day process) so I'm a kid with a new toy but can't play with it out of the neighborhood! The seller uses this service frequently and stated that it was the fastest way to obtain a title. I have not seen a B.E. in my area as long as we have lived here (10 years). I am hopeful to find a club or organization locally. Reading the forum the past two days has given me plenty of ideas of what I will want to do with the B.E. This is going to be a fun!

Nice looking Bugeye! Have fun!

It also looks like it has a homemade wiring harness.

Nice little Bugeye you've got there. Enjoy it, and welcome aboard!
