Needs a bit of work here and there, nothing too drastic....

Now I can ask un-educated questions on two forums!
Always wanted a BGT...... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congratulations! I'm impressed to see that the split rear bumper is there and relatively intact. I always wanted a BGT too (still do). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Oh me, now we in for it. Good find.

Good on ya, Baz! If I had the room, I'd add a BGT... And a GT6... And a TR4... And...

Mickey

Nice find! Yes, I'm a bit jealous. Big fan of BGTs. Once you have 2, you'll find more... or they will find you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My very unnderstanding and loving wife has made it very clear! No more squatters!
This will be my DD I hope.

'70 B-GT!!! How lovely!

It has 10/69 stamped on the vin plate, 70 on the titke, which do I trust?

Well, the "build date" would -ordinarily- be the arbiter...but here inna "colonies" the ~title~ is GOSPEL.

It's a '70. That's my "Final Answer."

Doc! How'd you do that?
Click your heels three times and my sig changed! From the other thread that Budk had going, I was under that assumption.
Hay, It has O/D (I think) and new floor pan so that's the big plus for me. I don't want to resurrect, ahem, another thread about O/D switches, but I will need to address that at some point.

looks like a solid platform...great looking bumpers!

I'm insignificant around here, Baz...

..or that's what I'd have ya believe. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

humm....hose her down and you'll have a pretty sweet lookin GT....I've been wanting a solid GT for awhile now as a DD for SWMBO once I get to restoring her MGA.

Post some pics after a bath, looks like it will clean up really nice! Good find!

I have some pics from under the hood.
I'm unfamiliar with the layout of a 70 BGT so my question is, does everything look normal, is there anything glaringly obvious that could be a concern?
That cylinder on the bulkhead is for airhorns and the first thing to hit the trashcan. TIA.

My eye went to that right away.....
I had a similar cancerous mass on my car when I got it.
It was almost spherical and connected to the intake.
(Some sort of vacuum reservoir for a cockamamie contraption the PO had hooked up)
It gave me great pleasure to smash it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW.....NICE find /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Heater core has been by-passed, PCV "gulp valve" has been moved (usually they're mounted in the center port of the intake). The head appears to be an earlier 18G (no air ports at the exhaust side) too. The number plate on the block is still intact. Whazzat number?

18GB and before are the older head type. I think your block is proper "period" for the car but the head was changed (if in fact the air ports are not there and not just "hidden" in the photos. None of this is necessarily "bad" BTW. Just curious.

Looks nice. Good luck with her!
