My youngest sold his Toyota Celica on Saturday, and we went out and bought him a truck.....He's paying for the durn thing, insurance and all!

Anyway, it's a 2001 Toyota Tacoma extra-cab, with the 4.7 litre V8, towing package (the tow receiver looks unmarked, doesn't appear that it ever towed anything), Limited Edition package, bells and whistles all over the place.......It is pretty obvious that this truck never worked a day in its life!

Rather nice actually. Useful hauler to add to the family car pool /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Very nice, I want one.

They are suppose to last 4 ever.

Is it a TRO?

Patrick

Toyota's are very reliable! My oldest has an older Camrey with a zillion miles on teh clock and it runs like new!

When a non-mechanical type person asks me what car they should look at I can only respond: "TOYOTA!"

...all ya gotta know is how to turn th' key and when to change the fluids.

We HATE them, don't we. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Sounds great, but do you mean Tundra? the Tacoma never had anything bigger than a V6.
01 Tundra TRD (Toyota Racing Development) is a nice ride. heck, an 01 Tacoma TRD is a nice ride.
Solid truck. No major issues that I know of in those.
Enjoy.
towed my 58 Jag home with an 04 Tundra 4.7 It had plenty of power.

You are correct, as usual! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif (Happy birthday, by the way). My lack of knowledge about the pickup truck world has struck!

It is indeed a Tundra. It's a very nice ride, the boy did good!

If I were not a technician in a Toyota dealer, staring at these things every day, I woulden't know either.
I coulden't tell you what engines come in a Nissan or a Dodge.
Just happened to be one of the few things I'm fermiliar with.
hehehehehehe.
(Thanks, By the way) hehe
I know you guys will like that truck. I'd really like to get one if I could afford it (ain't that irony?) Someday.... Someday
