I guess its a disease, or an addiction. after my MGC-GT was damaged, I missed driving the car and vowed to never be in the position of being"MGless" again. So I started searching and found a very nice 75 MGB roadster in Farminton New Mexico(same state but hundreds of miles away) Anyhow, I sat staring stupidly at the computer last nite, auction ended at 1040pm and at 1042 I got the word"You Won" Then at 440 am we got the call that my wife's Mom had passed away in NY. I have to make a mad dash to Farminton today or tomorrow, cancel our annual trip to the mountains over the holidays(always take our R/V and weiner dog for my wifes birthday on the 4th..and our anniv. on the 5th..made it to 38 years so far) Anyhow, we'll go up for a couple of days for the funeral, and then go back up on the 13th of July for two weeks...pre-planned vacation. What a mess.

Well congrats on the new addition.....and my sympathy on the rest....hope you get some time to play with the B.

Thx...all has changed. The family got together and talking to our funeral home back there(friends since childhood) its common to postpone till all family can make it. So it will happen in two weeks. Tonite at 2am(wed) I'm heading out with a truck and trailer to Farminton NM(7-8 hrs. each way) with a retired AF Col. buddy who is bored..and collect my latest MGB. Talked at length with the seller...has turned down many offers as she wanted it to go to someone who wasn't going to chop it up..put a V-8 in it or something. I told her about my cars and although she hates selling it, she at laeast feels better.

Got my TD that way. It's like selling a family friend. Almost went to a chop shop until I stepped in.

Man, I need to find someone with a TD and a problem I can fix, like take it home.

I heard there may be a "few old British cars" laying around up there so I'll keep my eyes peeled. Its 6pm here and I'm going to grab a bite to eat and try to get a few hours sleep. If you've never driven the isolated highways like we have here in New Mexico...you haven't lived.

The E type I am looking at is up there.
