i purchased this a few months ago. I picked it up on Sunday. It should be a fun project and a good change from the large MGs i have been playing with.

Are there any large MGs?

Look forward to seeing your progress. It'll be great to watch it get done.

And it matches the trailer. Never seen one with a mower deck before.

Looks like a near-perfect tub. Good place to start, you'll have a brand new Midget when it's over.

You're gonna love driving your Midget, trust me . . . :yesnod:

Another BEAUTIFUL car about to be "born".....and I'm going to want this one TOO!!

I have not posted progress in a while. Here is what it looks like today. (dusty!)Pretty soon I will need to make up my mind on the 5 speed and what spec to do the engine. Or stick it in a corner and build another MGB.I have a Datsun trans. but lack the complete kit. I will be at the Autoist Auction and if I have any bucks left continue on the Midget. Its a fun little project so far. My plan for the dash is to do aluminium trim across the top of the wrinkle finish dash. That way it ties in with the aluminium door tops. I did this once before using a MGB rear cockpit trim. Bob

C'mon, stay focused on the Midget. Build a strong engine and that little car will make your B's orphaned.

I'm with Trev, finish the Midget while you have momentum.

And follow the path Trevor's taken:

1275 SuperCharged
Datsun 5-speed

You already HAVE the Datsun tranny! :driving:

Dave, Its a Honda S2000 color. Good to see you again Wednesday night (after about 20 years!) Your 63 Midget will be a fun car once the spring hits! And I did not paint this one. I just get to assemble it and then drive the wheels off it! Bob

Dave;
Good to see you on this forum. I'm not the guru that Bob is, but I'm ten minutes away and will help in any way I can with the car, or just to share a pop or two, and lie to each other. It's great bein' an old car guy, EH!
Anyway, look me up if you need help.

Dave :savewave:

Good to see you again as well Bob. Hope we can get together for a longer visit a little sooner than before. I got the Midget up on stands last night. Other than the pass. floor being replaced it looks really good. Looks like the rear shocks have been replaced recently as well as e-brake cable, rear whel cyls. and a few other things. The oil leek I mentioned looks like its coming from the tranny, unless it's coming from the rear main and pooling up in there.

I'm only on this forum Dave.
I have an old mind and don't want to get too confused.

Dave

Haha, rear scroll seal and pooling in tranny till you park it.

Well,It runs and drives! The untested Datsun 5 speed works as it should. The punch list is getting smaller and its almost ready for a licence plate. The fellow I got it from may take over ownership again! Cool little car. Bob
