Hi everyone. I have a customer that is looking for a set of front and rear fenders for a 1961 TRA. He is stripping his customers car and ran into some major horrible patch work that had tons of bondo work over top. It's a shame because the rest of the car is extremely sold. He is a collision shop that does a few restorations to keep the guys working during slow times so he does not good sources. He exhausted the ones I gave him. The current fenders would take about 40 hours of work to straighten and would rater put the $ some ware else into the project.

The other shame is this is the 2nd time the car has been done in 3 years. The previous work was done by a body technician in his home shop and there was a lot of dirt in the paint and filler cracking all over the place. Not a lot of interest in northeastern Ohio for these cars and most shops don't want to work on them and when they do the craftsmanship is less the desirable. Thanks Larry

Will he consider fiberglass fenders? I know a guy in CT who has some for sale if he is interested. I have no financial interest, I just know that he is selling off all of the parts that he accumulated for a TR3 restoration, then sold the car and bought a BMW Z-4 to keep his wife happy.

I think it might be his last resort. I heard that the fiberglass fenders were a horrible fit. Might have the same results in fitting time and I would think he'd rather have the metal fenders. I will ask. Thanks.

I too would dearly love to find some reasonable used steel front fenders for my 56 Tr-3 I do however have one extra rear {Drivers side fender} no RUST but looks like a sack of potatoes. {would need some TLC with body hammers and dollys} I`m sure it can be salvaged. {NO dents in the curved areas} All of the lumps are on the flat surfaces. It does have two minor cracks, one on the wheel well flange and one in the middle of the flat surface and has been {attempted} welded. {No burn through but would need attention}. IF interested contact me via email {Available in my profile.
P.S. If I have my friend Tin Beater straighten it out it will go for a lot more than I am willing to part with it as is!
