We just completed a race at Infineon and our wiper crapped out in the rain. The car is a 1967 Ford Cortina and we do NOT have any of the original wiper parts. I was thinking of going to the wrecking yard to get a system. Do you have recomendations of a type of car to steel parts from? One of our team members suggested a Jeep, as we could mount from the top of the windshield also.

thanks

Jerry

The common British-type Lucas system as used in MG Midgets, Sprites, MGBs, and various Triumphs is probably you best bet.
It has a remote motor and a long "flex-driveline".
It's probably similar to the system originally in the Cortina.

Many hot-rod people adapt the British Lucas wiper setup to their cars.

The track did look like that but fuzzier, due to no working wiper. Oh, by the way, I got a good look at turn 2 by hitting a patch of mud and doing a 360 on the track. But back to wipers, I will see if I have enough parts left from my various british cars. I do note that most of the motors don't wipe too fast.

I also saw a hot rod set up, but it is quite expensive for a Lemons car.
