Need some information about the Seat Ibiza.

I'm about to buy a new car and I need some advice.
First of all who is it's manufacturer and how good is its built quality?
I heard that it is an european car and that the european cars are not as good as the japanese and Korean (asian) cars. Is it true also about the Seat Ibiza?

What other cars in the same price should I look at before buying the seat Ibiza?

Seat(Spanish Corporation of private cars) was founded in 1950 through a partnership of the Spanish government and Fiat to revitalise Spanish economy.......Fiat withdrew in 1980 and Seat partnered wit VW....VW slowly gained more control of Seat and it is now part of the VW group.
