Need Riley lens

Anybody here know where I can get a tail light lens for my riley elf? At an affordable price. I know I can buy a new one, but this will be my daily driver, and it just needs to be functional.
Thanks.
Bruce (Proud new owner of a 66 Riley Elf)

I believe it is the same as the late Spridgets. To confirm this, write to Chuck Heleker (cheleker-at-aol-dot-com) and ask him. He knows about Minis, Elves, and Hornets and could certainly answer this question easily. Be sure and tell him I said hello.

I need both halves.

The lens is a Lucas 695.

I saw that you posted this over on that "other" board. Chuck hangs out there. I'm surprised he didn't weigh in with the others about what crosses with the Elf/Hornet lamps.

Near as I can tell from my Lucas catalogue, this is NOT the same as the Spridget/MGB lamp nor the 1100 BMC series. It IS the same as the Wolseley Hornet, but that probably doesn't help much. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

FWIW, original Lucas part numbers:

stop/tail lens 54572078
flasher lens 54582016 (amber) or 54571948 (red)

Bruce,
I have quite a few NOS ones going by Andy's numbers. Let me know which upper color. I can sell them pretty cheaply.

Re: Don't Need Riley lens anymore

Thanks to all who helped. I have a lens, and it is on! Looks way better than a mkIV spitfire lens taped on.
Now to get some pictures posted. Took it on its first "long" drive today. Put about 65 miles on it taking the wife shopping. She deemed the trip a success. "We'll probably take this car more places than my Nissan (Altima)" she says. It seems to get great gas mileage, is comfortable, and gets lots of looks. I had a guy at a stoplight ask me if it is a Fiat (OUCH). He was in a Subaru riceboy car.
I loved my Minor Traveller, but after tearing around in the Riley, I can honestly say I won't miss driving the Minor.
