Month 4 into the wire harness install for the
crypt car.

I need to run new wires to the oil pressure
switch and the brake failure switch.

1. What does the oil pressure switch look like and
where in the car is it located?

2. What does the brake failure switch look like and
where in the car is it located??

As always thanks for all the great help received my way.

Hi Tinster

I think that the oil pressure switch sticks out horizontally from the block, just forward of the top of the oil filter mounting.

The only brake failure switch I can think of is the pressure differential warning actuator (PDWA) which should be on the inner wing pretty much directly below the master cylinder - the two brake lines from the M/C should pass into two of the fittings, and then pipes to front and rear come out of the other side. The switch is screwed into the middle of that (on the top side).

Hope that helps (and I hope that I am right!)

Oil pressure switch should be on the LH side of the engine. Nothing special about it except that it should be screwed into the engine or maybe a fitting off the engine, and it will have one wire terminal coming out.

The brake failure lamp switch will be found on the four-way (?) hydraulic brake line connector near the master cylinder and should be obvious enough.

Great!!

Thanks alot. I'll go check it out in daylight.
I might be able to add two more wires accomplished
for the crypt car.
