Need oil pressure tube - anyone have spare?

A potential buyer is coming to look at my MGB next weekend so I'd like to be able to show him good oil pressure.
I need to replace the oil pressure line that attaches to the oil pressure sensor from the side of the block.
Let me know if you can spare one, how much, and if you can send it to me by next weekend.

Brand new from Moss, they're not that expensive.

That hose is one thing I'd suggest having two of... One for the install and one for the boot as an on-board spare. I've had the newer (replacement) ones fail for nothing more than chance.

Cheap insurance in my estimation.

Take the failed one to any local (good) hydraulics shop. They may even be able to use your end fittings and make a new one. Think truck and earthmoving equipment here.

No,can't reuse the original end fittings once they've been 'crimped'....but they might be able to match the ends & make a new one.

Yes they can re-use the ends. They just have to install new crimps. I had this done for a friend at my favorite hydraulic shop recently when his hose gave up as he pulled onto my recently cleaned concrete driveway. It cost about $15.

Well I see I can get one from VB for $26.70 shipped.

Part: 1-002 OIL LINE TO GAUGE (HOSE) $18.95

Anyone who uses VB know if they get the stuff out the door very quickly?

VB doesn't get stuff out the door as quickly as Moss....if you order from Moss before 3pm warehouse time, it leaves that day.....your part would come from the Goleta warehouse & you're 1-2 days by UPS using standard shipping.

However, check with North West Imports....you might be able to drive by & pick up one from Steve.....but, don't know how far you are from Portland.

Here I am giving one of my competitors a sale - but, Steve's a good person....he might be able to get it to you faster than anybody.

Thanks Tony!

Rick
Have you checked Aurora British in Seattle yet? Or Brooklands in Tacoma?
Bill

Is Aurora still there? I thought they were gone out of business, I'll be happy if I'm wrong

I just got off the phone with Steve down in Portland. Nice guy!
My part should be here tomorrow!

Told ya!!

Yes you did, thanks again Tony!

What about British Parts Northwest? They're in your section of the country. I agree with Doc. Whenever I get a line that is NEEDED ASAP, I head for my hydraulic line people. Like Doc said, think heavy duty and Marine and aviation...

usually submit a sample and pick it up within an hour..
