Need Front Left Fender Please!

Some of you might remember my recent crash post on here. My fender is unrepairable. I looked at Moss Motors for the price for a new fender and its 569 bucks. I really dont want to spend that much on a fender so if anyone has a dent and rust free fender lying around, I need you to sell me it. Doesnt need to have paint. Please reply with a price and a picture! Thank you very much.

MGKid,

I have a new LF wing (fender) that I do not need. This is an aftermarket wing, not the British Motor Heritage approved wing you see in Moss for $569. My wing will cost you $175 plus shipping from Florida. I didn't use this part because the Moss wing fits better. If you don't mind fussing with the fit a little, you can save a few hundred bucks. The only issue I see is just how do we ship this monstrosity without damaging it. It will take a pretty large box that I don't have. What do you think? You can contact me directly at: rbucchino@earthlink.net

Try to find a parts car. For the price of a moss british heritage fender ($500) you could probably pick up a parts car with a good one. Get your fender, part out the rest and your ahead of the game.

Check with your local (CA) car clubs too. Chances are good that someone has a fender (or a parts car) sitting around you could pick up reasonably.

Insurance isn't covering any of this?

I agree with buying a complete parts car and begin using the parts and sell off the rest. I've done it many times... make some friends in the mean time...

It's never too late to have a happy childhood!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Your probably best to find one within driving distance because shipping would be a problem. Also it might be hard to find a parts car without fender rot along the bottom.

I must say that JAYBIRD IS MY HERO!! Ok, the ebay auction for that front left fender that u posted was already over by the time I saw it. But, the seller had an advertisement for www.usedbritishcarparts which is located in vista, california, about 15 minutes away from me!! Looks my days of putting 40 bucks into the tank of my dads '61 coupe de ville so that I can drive it to school and other places on weekends are almost over! I am sick of 9 mpg, I want my 21 mpg back. Plus, driving an LBC of any kind is a million times better than driving a huge iron sled with fins. (view pictures of my injured B from the previous thread to see that huge beast!)

Glad I could help kid. Take care of that lbc and stay away from those big ol' hoopdeecars! Be sure to post pictures after the repair work is finished.
