i have a yearning to PC something ... please, someone throw out your oven! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

hahahaha Always try the Salvation army and the used house trailer dealers....

i'm up for any advice at this stage /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif most junkyards in thsi area are smashing not selling.

Ask em to save a good one and call you.

tried that ... not expecting any calls real soon ...however, i do frequency see applicances left by their gate on sunday mornings from people dumping ... maybe get lucky. i've also become very good at scanning trash piles now ... what a life! i'm a trash collector!

The things we do for our pasions. Heh?

i am so psyched to PC now ... i have some new toys and some old parts that i want to try this out on. ... i think i know where an old toaster over is .... oh well!

I bet a toaster oven would work just fine for small stuff to learn on.

you got it jack .. and i have a bunch of small parts ... the gears are churning! at least that would take the edge off!

Have you tried craigslist.org? There is probably a list for the big city nearest you ie. philadelphia.craigslist.org

Also, when Sears etc deliver a new oven, they haul off the old oven. Call a few appliance dealers and ask them what they do with their old ovens. If they are taking them to the dump, they may just bring one to you to save themselves the dumping fee.

thanks ... good advice ... i have calls into the salv army and sears is another good choice ...

Call some kitchen remodelers and other GC that do remodels.

Another source is FreeCycle . There are chapters all over the USA. That's where I got my free working gas oven from.

mission accomplished ... talked with one of my assistant coaches and he had an oven on his back porch that he was getting rid of ... sometimes things are just too easy ... thanks for all the support on this one ... next step PCing!
