100_1859 (1).jpg100_1860.jpg100_1862 (1).jpgMotor has been rebuilt about 10 years ago good compression...carbs rebuilt but I did not replace the shafts...has a mild street cam and header.... has the TR6 gearbox and good clutch...drives and stops like it is supposed to......converted to alternator& Neg ground. ...new wiring harness...front end done some time ago(I think it needs a new right hand side tie rod)...shocks and springs replaced 10 years ago...windshield is new...now here's the bad: needs floors and sills...I just never got around to it as I just wanted to drive it every summer :D....frame is solid except for needs welding at one outrigger at the back and at one of the front suspension brackets. I'm thinking of selling because I need a car that is more comfortable for long distance driving and I'm an old codger. Anyone have a ballpark figure of what it might be worth? I realize it's whatever the market will bear but I need a rough guide.
Cheers Karl

Hagerty insurance also has a listing of car values. Find the closest value and then start subtracting the repair cost of each of the major repairs needed.

$10k ish, depends so much not only on car but also how it is sold. Private sale, between club members etc., will be much less than dealer/big auction/bring a trailer.

Karl. The cons you have shared will obviously effect the value.
Not all buyers comfortable getting into that rust repair area.
If you have original style wheels available that might be a plus.
It seems the changes like the gear box make the car toward a
good driver quality car.... but some would prefer a TR3 tranny.
Getting the car across the border seems at this time to require
a commerical hauler. With the paperwork involved that can be
a hassle. My guess the $10K range realistic.

I think $10.000.00 USD on the high side. Look EU and bring a trailer or trade for TR 6 much better road car. If you have extra parts list them like the wheels. Top side curtains. When you say 10 years old and rust work it becomes a project car Less than $ 7,000.00 USD . The Triumph Thread will tell you about other the are on the mend. Maddflyer

Just put my car in there. I hope they are conservative, being an insurance agency, or I'll have to die with my TR2! Better start making plans to be buried in the driver's seat.

TR 6 winning bid $ 75,000.00 must have been Jay Leno.

Word of caution when selling a car or anything on line first check Government web page FBI FRAUD ALERT I had my MG B 1967 for sale on a few sites. Got the first contact very quickly over asking price wanted to send US bank cashiers check. I am in Nevada check from East Coast transport to pick up car extra was to pay transporter. Just E mail no phone or address to send car or other contact info. sounds OK or not.
Fed EX came almost $5000.00 over asking price. I asked why so much by E mail, shipper needed extra for other stops, OK I said I took check that was a NC credit union sent from a PA address to my bank to approve check not cash check. Bank reviewed check call checks bank tested check, all bad. I got home and had a E mail asking if I got the check and had cashed it yet. I said yes I sent it to the FBI. It happened four times the next buyers I said call me or no deal the next ones would not reply. Is cash any better I sold my car with cash took all the bill to the bank to check bills then gave title. A friend sold sound equipment for $ 700.00 all $100. bills done deal no contact info. ALL BAD BILLS Madflyer
