Our friends have finally admitted that they are too old to drive and do any work on their Triumph 2000 roadsters. He is 92, She is in her 80's. I was thinking of advertising them on Bringatrailer. They will need a wide audience, these are not cars that you see around much. Fun to drive though. Hard to believe this car came out prior to the TR2. So smooth to drive vs the TR2.

Any advice?

You should also advertise them in our free Triumph classifieds forum here. Also post your question in the regular Triumph discussion forum.

I would think Bring-a-Trailer or Hemmings, in addition to a notice here, would likely give more bang for the buck than most anywhere else. BAT will probably push listing with no reserve. If there is a minimum price sought, though, stick to your guns with them. Depending on the desirability factor they may acquiesce. (And I would think that a 2-for-1 might sway their decision.)

I'd give Bring A Trailer a hard look. It's only $99 to list a car in a seven day auction. Just got their October Sale Recap email...it states: "Our sale rate for the month was 73% across 3,110 vehicle listings, including 850 that were offered without reserve." That’s impressive.
