I was doing some metal work pounding with my hanner and dolly when smash. The vibration loosened the chrome ring on the temp gauge and it fell on the concrete. The glass smashed into many pieces.
Checked all around and even with my local lbc bone yard team triumph and nothing. Anyone know where i can get one or anyone have an extra to sell? IT WAS THE TEMP GAUBE AND IS CONVEX.

TRF has them listed new for $12. P/N 502669

But don't break the ammeter glass - that one may be harder to find a replacement.
According to the SPC, the original ammeter takes the same glass. I think Moss is saying that they don't sell glass to fit their "Lucas replacement" ammeter (which is apparently also NLA).

The same 2" glass would fit of course -- but isn't the original convex glass on the ammeter noticeably flatter than the other gauges?
Well, I never noticed

Ammeter glass is flatter and thinner. Nisonger has the ones for temp, oil, fuel, $9.95 but they get you on shipping.

That is because the ammeter is a Lucas gauge and the other three are Jaeger ... at least they are on the early cars like mine. Cheers, Mike

Mine was definitely convex. I'll check out the Moss catalog but the Team Triumph guy sell Moss too. Wonder why he didn't suggest that. Maybe they are flat glass.

They are all convex ... and as far as I can see they look the same. Cheers, Mike

The flat glass was later, around 1963 or 64. All of the originals on a TR3 were definitely convex.

Just for clarity, I do now see that the ammeter is slightly flatter than the others. But the difference is small, you'd have to be looking for it to see it. I had to touch it to be certain.

And they are listed as being the same in the factory parts catalog
