i'm closing in on which car i'm going to buy and, regardless of which one i choose, i'm gonna need a great mechanic to do some modifications to it. can anyone recommend some healey gurus in the ny/nj/ct area?

thanks!

The garage I use is on the other side of NJ but they are "artists" and really know cars. Choosing a good mechanic is very important. I used one once that was highly recommended and he about ruined one of my cars. He is bankrupt and gone - thank god.

email me if you want an address but I think it might be too far away.

There are two highly qualified people out there. In Southampton there is Northumberland Engineering; two Brits who work exculsively on English cars; service several of Ralph Lauren's Concours autos. In Amagansatt there is The Car Doctor; Ryan is a SCCA racer; completing frame on restoration of my bj8.
