Spitfire Need '75 to '80 Spitfire overdrive shifter

Yesterday, the plastic retainer bushing on the lower part of the shifter where it latches in the transmission busted out again. In the past when this happened, I was able to find a replacement shifter from a salvage yard. Being it's a OD transmission, I'm having NO luck this time. Do any of you know where I might find a replacement shifter OR do any of know a solution to repair these shifters?

I don't have pictures at this time because the gear shift lever is still in the car. I can tell by feeling through the shifter boot that this is what has happened as I've had it happen before. There is a repair kit for '74 and earlier but the '75 and later Spitfires are different. My problem is that spring loaded plastic retainer bushing on the lower part of the shifter has busted out. It's the big plastic dome shaped bushing right under the latch that holds the shifter in the transmission. It's not the small plastic button in the side of the shifter ball.
