I came across this artwork, thought it was pretty cool because it's a Nasty Boy. The page isn't availableanymore so not sure if they are still available. I took a snapshot to show. 6CBFC175-8506-4655-9318-4B4F77ECB876.large.JPG

Thanks, that is mine. Came out great, Mr. Townsend put alot of time in that one "customizing" it to match my car.AH-BN1-Reynolds-proof-2-20160324-193038802.jpg

Got manifold fully rebuilt from Jim Inglese and it's been sitting on my office floor as daily reminder.IMAG3488.jpg

I'd think the real concern about the velocity stack screens is how they filter. Right now you can keep small birds out, if you take off the screens entirely woodchucks will probably be able to be sucked in. I'd be looking for some kind of filtration system better than the screens. With your motor, you're easily going to overpower your tires so losing a few horsepower to a better filtration system shouldn't be a big deal.

As much as they don't filter, they inhibit airflow to the extent of negating any benefit__of which there is a lot__of having the radiused inlets. Velocity stacks are appropriately named, as that's what they increase.

But they sure look cool!

On the contrary, according the Vizard and his research, a proper air filter (with stub-stacks, aka short-radius inlets) will produce more hp than any screen openings__they really upset the flow, with ladies' nylons being the worst offenders.

Indeed, I do not want for horsepower.

Yeah, I took the page down a week or two ago while doing some clean up on the Austin-Healey prints. If folks are interested, I'll bring it up to snuff with the other pages and let you know when it's available again (I'm thinking the end of this week).
