On Long Island, NY for work. About 5:30pm I spotted a pristine Nash Metropolitan heading down Middleneck Rd. Older gentleman driving.... Could be anyone of us old geezers on BCF!

I've always like the Metropolitans. However, I saw something unfortunate involving a Metro once when I was in junior high. While waiting for the school bus, a Metro went driving past and, just as it got past us, one of the front wheels came off and ended up under the car as it came to an abrupt halt.

Saw a nicely restored Metropolitan on Hwy 35 as I headed to my brother's place this morning. If I live long enough to have another LBC that would be the type I would want.

Distressing sight but may not have been the Metro's fault. Same thing happened recently to my nephew's pickup but he never recovered the alloy wheel or new tire from the woods. Suspect the tire company did not tighten the lug nuts.
