Nash Healey on Ebay

I always liked these things. This one belonged to Archie Moore and has a Ford V8 installed. Ebay Healey

What really surprised me was the photo from underneath the car, I am not familiar with a front suspension or steering setup like this. Was this common for the time?

The trailing arm front suspension like this one (with that one big casting each side) wasn't common but Healey seemed to like it. The Silverstone and some of his other low production cars used something similar. I'm not sure but I think some pre-war or immediate post-war Austins used something similar. They were also used on some FWD cars back when.

There were lots of other variants of trailing arm front suspensions, e.g. the VW Beetle until the Super Beetle.

The steering looks strange but I'd guess it's original.

ALL Healeys used it.
