Good morning friends, I have been meaning to ask this for quite some time. A couple of weeks I finally got the TV's we own mounted on the wall and hooked up properly to the web and to the antenna that we now use. As a part of sorting out the technology, I have been wondering about adding an NAS computer to the network.
As I see it, the advantages would be twofold.
1. A hardwired location (in the wifi network) to backup files - currently I have in dropbox and some on a hard drive but don't really know the last time I backed up my system.
2. A way to finally get rid of many DVD's and CDs. and a way to actually (possibly) watch or listen to them - currently they sit in the closet.
So, any thoughts or experience or ideas? I really don't want to "make" anything - I am prepared to pay a premium to just buy something that works. That said, if I go this route, do I get one big drive or two smaller - for redundancy or ??? I don't really understand it all but it seems like it may be helpful.
Oh and, I presume if I have one the house Mac users and the house PC users can share it.
