Looks like a conversion from something. I remember reading about one a while back and wondering why one was necessary, with all the Mustangs still on the road.

Can't remember all the details, though...

I got it!

It's an ugly car.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif Yeah!! Lets take a Japanese copy of an English car and turn it into a copy of an American car!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

One COULD just go to a junkyard and find a fixable real one if one HAS to have one rather than go through all the work of "recreating" one and ruining a perfectly good sports car in the process!

It's got a Miata top, side windows, and door pull (it looks like to me anyway) - from the NA Miata I'd guess. Also has the mounting bolts on the rear-deck for a Miata hard-top. Strangely enough they're called "Frankenstein Bolts". Ahem.

Someone made a Miatang.

Funny, the "dome" ones for the Alfa Spider H/T mounts are referred to as "R2D2's"....

What would you call that, a Mustiata? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

What's up with the big tires on the back and baby wheels up front?

It can't be that ugly AND powerful too!!
