Mystery Screws

I recently disassembled my seat tracks from the frames. One fastener on each seat was different from the other countersunk screws. The screw that goes through the "stud" that serves as a limit stop has a pan head, and 1/4" fine threads, 1 1/2" long.

I wanted to replace these, since they were a bit beat up.

However, my local hardware store, that has an extensive selection of fasteners, only had coarse threads, on a 1/4"x1 1/2" pan head screw.

The Moss catalog says that each seat uses 8x1/4"UNFx1 1/8" countersunk screws. But my seats only used 7 of these, and one "mystery screw" per seat.

Can anyone tell me where I can find these screws?

I haven't had much luck with Lowe's or Home Depot. Sears Hardaware stores are much better, or if you don't mind waiting a little while, Bolt Depot have all sorts.

If you can't locate them anywhere else, McMaster-Carr has them in stainless steel.
