Located on the front of the left inner fender was this gadget. It wasn't hooked to anything. Any ideas? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Not anything I've ever taken off an MG!

did the car ever have a burglar alarm?

That would have been my guess as well... aftermarket cruise control from JCWhitney. Can you post a photo of the business end/round thingy.

Definatly an aftermarket cruise module. I third the guess.

I think it might work well in a slingshot?

Just curious, why on earth would anyone put a cruise module in an MG??
What next, electric windows? Power steering?

Oh gesh, I saw not long ago a B with elec. windows. What a waste.

I really don't see any logical reason to put power windows in an MGB. There are only two windows, and the crank handles are less than an arm span away from each other.

Power steering.........hmmmmmmmmmm /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

MOSS actually offers a power window kit....I'd never want that in my B's....Even most of the modern cars I've had, have had issues with the power windows.

I kind of like the idea of power locks with a remote. Well mostly since my car only came with an ignition key. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

YOUR CAR CAME WITH A KEY ????? WOW! Mine came with a broken screw driver in it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif PJ

Common failure point on late model BMWs. A $.50 nylon clip self destructs inside the window regulator. You need to take the door apart to replace the entire regulator (the clip is not sold seperately, how convenient). Luckily my wife's X5 failed under warranty. I swear they engineered them to fail after about four years of usage to generate service work. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

Key, these cars have keys. Woohoo, something else I need to get.
