Mystery part

I bought a bunch of miscellaneous parts from an independant shop that was going out of business.
The part looks like a curved chrome molding.
None of my searches have found anything.
This one has me stumped, but perhaps I'm not a good Googler.
Anyone have any help?

the part number may not be a leyland #, workshops did use makers tags but their own # system

It sure looks like the usual BL part numbering tag and font style.

Frank, can you post a photo of the piece itself? That may strike a chord with someone.
