I will add to your confusion. The weight of the oil does not have great effect on performance as long as there is oil in the dash pot. For years I have used Marvel Mystery Oil since it smells good and is a great penetrating/rust preventing oil. Try it!! Hope this helps.

You seem to have hit the nail on the head.... pick the sweetest, prettiest and best-smelling oil.. how can I lose? LOL, thanks for your insight and for all your help in the past! This tech bit is the least technical of all, but nonetheless insightful!
