This is on Craigslist as a Mk 1 Midget with a Speedwell Bonnet = would seem to be wrong on both counts but what is it? Ashley??

Regardless of what the snout is, the rest of it is not a MkI Midget....its a round wheel Midget & that makes it a MkIII.....easy way to tell: MkI's don't have vent windows or exterior door handles.
 
I had seen that link to the Williams and Pritchard registry but still couldnt really tell. Dont the turn signals look more recessed than the Peamarsh?

Tony, you mean it isnt a rare factory round wheel arch Mk1 special?????? I had noticed it was a Mk 3 but it is the front end that was confusing me.
 
Look at the body closer, with only 2 windshield mounts and the area around the cockpit flat, it's more like a MKII midget or MKII /MKIII sprite. I'd bet someone "played" with the rounding of the rear arches.
I'll bet it's one rough car...

It is quite hard to tell as it looks from the image above like that front has taken a battering, but for what its worth, it looks closest to the Peasmarsh.

However, there were a whole load of fronts produced for the spridget in North America which are not catalogued yet on the website, so it could be one of those ...
