The linked photograph was taken in 1955 at Brafield Stadium in Northamptonshire, England:

The sliding car has some similarities to a 1931 Ford Tudor, but the shape of its running boards and wings doesn't match; likewise a surviving sidelight on the l/h wing. It appears a little longer and lower than a Tudor, and has a hint of a "boot". Daimlers were sort-of-similar, but not close enough.
I would be very grateful for an id. Thanks -- this is my first posting on British Cars!

From the same webpage, https://www.oldstox.com/TheEarlyDays.htm

"What draws upper-class people to our sport? Likewise, cars like this 1928 Bentley 6.5 litre limousine ---

Another driver, Ken Smith, raced a Rolls-Royce to destruction at Belle Vue in that year."

Good point! I think I WILL take up that guy down the street's offer to by his old Bug and turn it into a drag racer. After all the emblems on it are wrong anyway...they spelled it B-u-g-a-t-t-i. Toss those in the trash right away!
