My rear halfshafts are both installed - finally

I heard back from the mechanic this morning. My new rear CV-jointed halfshafts are both now in. The guy making them made a new adapter to fit to the Nissan diff - so he now has both kinds, stock and R200.

Heard from the engine builder too - he's ready to put it together (i.e. he wants some $). I'm twitching to get it back even if it is only on carbs. The weather is just too nice to not have it any longer...

Great news. I'm expecting Kevin to ship mine out this week.

Sounds like yours is going to be on the road before mine. Just as I get a call from my body shop that the tub is ready, My dang M3 engine swallowed an intake valve on #2 so I've had to postpone while I rebuild it. I just had the exhaust made and installed and couldn't wait to hear it run and within seconds I head that nasty metallic sound so I shut her down. Fortunately, it happened now rather than with the tub mated. Would have added quite a bit more aggravation to the problem.

Dave - It's looking like two weeks for the engine build and dyno. Another few days for the install. Third week of June is looking good. It won't be as fast as I want, but it's a start...

Thanks for sending him your flanges btw - that's what made it easy for him to rejig it without having to shorten the drivers side halfshaft.

Dave - Went up to see the car this am.
The new flanges are really really nice - fit is great.
Did you get yours yet?

Talked to Kevin today as a matter of fact. He will have them shipped this week as he forgot to have the machinist notch a portion of the hub to allow for my ARP studs to be inserted. I should have them just about the time I've got this dang M3 engine back together and mounted in the frame again.

He would like to see pics and here about the fit from you when you've got a moment to call.
