I was able to escape the house project brigade this past weekend for a short camping trip down to southern Utah. Just a short overnighter with a good friend on our bikes, but worth the effort for a little recharge. Lots of work still to do around here (and no time for Tunebug work), but the short break was worth it.

I love the view in those pictures I have been wanting to go camping for a while now. Where were you at??

The San Raphael Swell, in southeastern Utah. About 20 miles due east of Castledale, Utah if you want to map it. It's a huge expanse of BLM (federal) land that stretches south to include Capitol Reef National Park. You could spend weeks and weeks in there and see something different every day.

My friend and I kept commenting that anywhere else and this would be a national park. Here, it's just a bit more desert that few ever visit.
