I bought this car while I was in college (undergrad) as a basket case project. The XK120 was not a two-tone car, but somehow I thought at the time that the color scheme worked.

it did because earth tones were hot then. looks like they may come back too.
 
jez I had a VW bug and then not till last year of school. Till then a thumb out. Actually thumb was more reliable and cheaper than the bug. Nice ride you built. I guess hitching not so wise these days, easy in the early 70's.
