My N'Orlreans Brethern

IDK, he was filming a sequel to his Katrina thing a few months ago down in Treme'. I'm suppoed to be in it, but you know how that goes. I don't have cable, so I can't watch it.

I don't think Spike Lee has his hand in this. Wikipedia Treme if you will.

Treme is a neighborhood in New Orleans that has a very interesting history. Like so many other Faubourgs, Treme is just one of many steeped in history. The Vieux Carre, Faubourg Marigny, The Bywater, The Irish Channel, The Garden District, etc. Ya gotta come down and stay a while to witness the scene.

My son lives in The Irish Channel and is quite involved in gentrifying the neighborhood. New Orleans is alive and kicking.

Where at?

Dad's side is from the line Marigny and BW. The sign "Welcome to Bywater" was in my unkle's side yard. His house is now an art gallery. It's the longest house in the Marigny.

Don't have HBO, but if I did, I'd be watching.

Spent much of my formative years in N.O.; Janet lived there until I stole her away in the early 70's. We're both still very connected, and always will be. Something about that city that, once it gets hold, won't let go.

Am so glad the city is coming back.

By the way, the Nashville police chief is in the running for chief in N.O. He came to Nashville from N.O. a while back, and may be returning home!

The show has some great HBO Mini Series names in it beside some great musicians and music.
