I finally made it up to my brother's property in Washington State to pick up my newest project. A Triumph 10 Estate.

Congratulations! The car looks as though it's pretty complete and in good shape. Keep the resto project posted.

Looks good.....it's the Standard 10, re-badged as a Truimph for the US market. It's a rare vehicle, even in the UK. Congratulations on the find, that's a car full of character.

That looks like a bit of fun. Got a soft spot for wagons myself. Enjoy it.

You should join the Standard Motor Club in the UK. They will give you lots of information and access to parts.

They were very helpful with my Vanguard. They have a very active discussion forum and a Bimonthly newsletter.

BTW, was your car one time listed on Ebay, it looks familiar.

[/ QUOTE ]I think that car was on eBay at least 3-4 times. As I recall, the car's location on an island may have made things somewhat more difficult for potential buyers. Hope I'm remembering the story correctly.

Of course, if it had been near the East Coast rather than the West Coast, I might have gone for it myself! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

yep, it had been on ebay and craig's list. nobody wanted to transport it off orcas island in Washington state. I have more photos that I have to massage down to 200k to post. It is fairly complete, less some of the dash trimming and the window gaskets are shot. I will probably have to fabricate something for the dash

also hard to sell a car on a handwritten bill of sale. good thing i'm in no hurry. another photo, this one of the engine bay.
