Nope - but I must admit, I thought about it! Would've extended into the garage.

Me thinks flat screens are getting almost reasonable now. We have a rear-projection but its pretty slim and its 55 inches, so more screen for the buck. (ANd the picture is great).

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gifI'm sorry, but I don't it very funny that YOU have one and I DON'T!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Back when the first big screens came out I wanted one real bad...this was back in my "budget days" but I saved enough to buy one and just before I took the plung the tranny in our Jeep went, so you know where that money went....I never did get a "nice" TV, I just keep replacing the 32 inch jobs(3 of them) we have that keep dying every few years...But as Basil mentioned flat screens are coming down in price(like all new products) so I'll probably get one the next time one of the other TV's go.

We've had a plasma for four years now. I built it in above the fireplace, mounted on a pivot arm so its flat to the wall, but we can pull it out and swivel it to watch in the dining room. Best 'toy' I ever bought. One of the few things about the house I still love...

Next time through though it's going to be a 1080p. Saw the 52" Aquos this afternoon, and it's amazing how far LCD displays have come on in the last couple of years.
