Kelly wants to be parted out when the time comes, that's always bothered me as I need "a place". As stupid as it sounds, I need to know why my wife is (all of her) and I need to be able to get there should I deem it necessary. It wasn't until literally just now and that article that I realized how unimportant a place is and (in our case) how selfish it would be for me not to help someone like him. (although I have already agreed to a part out but not a full on recycle like she wants.)

It aint like she'd need them anymore. My biggest problem with the program is from what I've seen (which very well may be incorrect) is that you stand a better chance of pulling through if you don't have a card. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but from my experiences organs are harvested while the donor is still alive (albeit at deaths door). There more of a financial incentive to harvest then to let things run their course. I just feel it's more likely that whomever makes the call would do so quicker if you're donor than not. While that may sound horrible and uniformed, it's not a foreign thought process. "You save the ones who stand the best chance", this is especially true in military medicine (where some doctors get their training.) I've always been of the school of you help the ones that need it most, however; I can see in certain situation where that might not be the best course of action.

I'm in favor of givin' some fella's wife things she needs but mine is no longer using, but let's wait till mine says it's time to do so.
