Finally got my dads 1962 Austin Healy mk2 out of storage. It has been in storage since 1981.He has not seen it since 1988. It is a 1962 tri carb, was originally white. 87,000 miles. Plan on doing a budget, based restoration, something we can drive everyday and not be afraid of getting it dirty.

Driving it and getting it dirty, the way to go !!
Succes with (all) the work.

Congratulations! I know the feeling. A big task ahead, but step-by-step you will get there. Good luck with the project.

Mine looked worse than that when I started, and it turned out great. Keep at it and keep us posted (with pictures).

Is that a hardtop? I'm instantly envious...
