My car is in Japan - and progress report

I've been thinking about what I want my car to ultimately turn out like and something close is already in Japan! https://www.city.yokkaichi.mie.jp/museum/tenji/car4f.html

I've been collecting parts over the last few weeks for the big push when I get some time off. What I would like to do with the car is make it a factory orignal car that was modified for weekend racing (just like DH intended). My plan is to restore the car to its' original Iris Blue with the 948 engine and then put additions on the car that can be taken off or put on when not on the "track" (I'll likely never race the car). I've got my carpet ($120), vinyl($17) and have located a pair of seats in the Bay area ($250 should I get them ??). I was lucky enough to get a hood for free from a BCF member (Cortina)!!!!! Thanks again..... Dave! A Headrest Fairing($29) and a orginal Brooklands Aeroscreen ($92.00), sway bar are in the works along with Navy Blue stripes. My total costs so far are $875 (the car was $500), but they will increase in the next week as I ready my order from Tony. What other "Factory-bolt-ons" would you recommend??? If I'm lucky I might get this car done with less than $3000 into it. Yes, I'm Dutch and I can make a penny into copper wire!

roll bar?

Rebuilt shocks from Peter C.

shucks, I like it too, does it come in chrome?

Hi Paul,
Please keep me posted on your progress as I'd be interested in a roll bar with that design.

And that folks is just a bit much. hehe. Think Miss Agatha does not need a roll bar in any case. I am getting to like orginal more and more.

The only problem I have with roll bars on a street machine is how they limit the access to the boot!!
