My Bugeye to the rescue!

I was driving my Toyota Yaris on a country road in northern Colorado that went through a small town. The speed limit went from 55 to 45 then down to 25 before having to stop at the only stop sign in town. I re-accelerated to 25 then on the edge of town when it went back up to 45 I just hit the resume on the cruise control and got back up to 55. Wouldn't you know it, a cop with a radar gun ahead! I saw him get ready to pull out so I slowed down and pulled next to him in his hiding spot. I figured I would save him the trouble of chasing me down since I was clearly speeding and was the only person on the road at the time.

I gave him my license, registration & insurance card....all of which I keep in my wallet so I don't lose them. I sat in the car while he ran my info. I realized that I also kept the registration & insurance card for the Bugeye in my wallet so I checked and evidently I gave him the paperwork for the Bugeye and not the Yaris. Crap! When he came back I tried to give him the info on the Yaris and he just said, "you get bonus points for owning a British car, slow it down and have a nice day".

How about that!? I'm not sure what would have happened if I gave him the correct paperwork from the get-go, but I am giving my Bugeye credit for getting me out of a ticket.

Well, you took the initiative, AND had a British car.

But cudos to the cop for his act of kindness.
